Descendants and supporters gather to honor Lt. Col. William Owsley Boyle,
the youngest man to achieve the rank of colonel at the age of 18 during

Re-draining
Workers renovating the Holt Home in Hardinsburg refit a downspout
on the circa 1850 structure. One of the renovation surprises has been
the number of birds’ nests and snakes found in the soffits.

Face lifting
Refinishing the intricate details of the exterior trim and soffits of the
Holt Home has been quite a job, but this photo provides a look at how
the finished product will appear. A $500,000 grant is providing funds for
the work.
