House of Lee
Arlington House, former home of
Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee,
has been renovated and is once
again open to the public. Located
at Arlington National Cemetery,
the structure is just a “cannon shot”
from the White House.

Tough times
If these Confederate soldiers don’t look too healthy – particularly

Gettysburg.

Jackson’s arm
Stonewall Jackson's left arm is interred separately from the rest of his
body. The arm was amputated eight days before Jackson died from
pneumonia. Visitors often place roses at the grave where Jackson’s arm
is buried near the Chancellorsville battlefield.
